Andalusia, Ala. (July 05, 2016) -- The Reverend Dr. Cynthia Howard, chairman of Andalusia Health's Board of Trustees, was recently honored with the prestigious LifePoint Health® 2016 Board Leadership Award. This award is presented annually to a board leader at one of LifePoint's 72 facilities across the nation who exemplifies the company's "High Five Guiding Principles," which focus on:
- delivering high-quality patient care;
- supporting physicians;
- creating excellent workplaces for our employees;
- taking a leadership role in our communities; and
- ensuring fiscal responsibility.
"Our board members play a vital role in representing the needs of their communities and are integral to helping advance our mission of Making Communities Healthier," said Victor Giovanetti, FACHE, president of LifePoint Health's Western Group, of which Andalusia Health is a part. "As chairman of Andalusia Health's board and a member of the priesthood, Reverend Howard is a well-respected leader who has truly left her mark on the community.
